L'exploration de Marseille
I decided to do a post that is a little different from what I normally do (not even completely sure what that is...). Anyways, I want to show you a little bit of Marseille! The other day, Chrissy and I went out for an afternoon. I really like exploring the city and getting more familiar with it! We visited the Cathédrale de la Major and an area of the city called Le Panier.
The Cathedral is enormous! I'm sure that it has to be the largest one in Marseille. It is definitely quite a bit larger than the more popular and iconic Notre Dame de la Garde that sits on the hill looking over the city. It was built starting in 1852 and was completed in 1896. It's location has been home to cathedrals since the fifth century! Below are some more photos... (to see them larger, just click on them).
Le Panier is a really cool area of Marseille and also the home to a church that I go to frequently. It is a predominantly French area and filled with shops, art, narrow streets, hanging laundry and brightly painted shutters. It's popular with tourists and is very picturesque. Below are some photos..

That's all for now! Hope you enjoyed. I really do love this city. I'm going to miss it after I move back to the U.S. in just 3 1/2 short months.
In His joy and peace,
Claire Faith
